About Carla
Carla Contreras is a Substack strategist helping creatives and entrepreneurs build content that does more than create a vibe. She helps clients develop content strategies that stir emotion, connect with the right people, and move them to action.
Her approach to Substack is about creating an intentional digital home for your work, not simply choosing a publication name and hitting publish. Carla combines strategy, creativity, and intuition with the goal of making every piece of content work harder for the person creating it.
Best Fit
Carla works with creatives and entrepreneurs who know they have something to say but need a clearer strategy for turning their ideas into content that actually supports their work and business.
Her ideal clients aren’t looking for another course or another formula to follow. They want someone who can look closely at what they’re already doing, identify the gaps in their content strategy, and help them build something that feels aligned while getting results.
She’s especially passionate about working with people who are navigating reinvention, whether they’re evolving their creative identity, launching something new, or letting go of a version of their work that no longer fits.

“There’s no chance you could work with Carla and not see any results. She is the kind of person that won’t rest until she helps you. Her nature is a helper to the core and when you mix that with her level of knowledge and hustle there’s nothing that can’t be solved.”
Favorite Advice
What separates the people who say they’re launching a creative project and the people who actually launch it is the willingness to not be perfect.
Carla encourages creatives to stop waiting for the perfect version of an idea before allowing it into the world. Publishing, launching, and evolving are all part of the creative process, and sometimes the most important thing you can do is act on the small nudge you’ve been ignoring.
